Astrology for weirdos.

Knows its craft, knows how to have fun. AstroRot isn't 'Sun sign. Love life. Mercury 😭 is 😭 retrograde! Full stop.'... we read the whole sky, through the things that make life interesting. Culture, creativity, hobbies and chaos... the beautiful mess of being a person. Real technique, thoughtful perspective, zero patchouli. (Okay... maybe some patchouli.)

"Just 'cause I joke and smoke a lot, don't mean I don't tote the Glock."

The Notorious B.I.G., "Machine Gun Funk"

I've carried this line for as long as I can remember. It's the whole thesis of AstroRot: I'm here to be loud, to be silly, to make this stuff fun again. But mistake the jokes for me not taking the craft seriously... figure I'm easy to underestimate... and, well…

Who's behind it

Hi, I'm Andrew.

I hail from Buffalo, NY, "The City of No Illusions". Growing up in the Rust Belt has endowed me with a certain resiliency and appreciation for the halcyon moments.

You'll probably hear me before you see me. I may be an irreverent maximalist but you'll see that I am thoughtful once you get past the noise. Friends have suggested that my hobby is having hobbies.

I have spent the bulk of my professional career in the wine and spirits industry and am currently in the process of beginning my next chapter in that arena. Astrology has been the focal point of my academic pursuits for several years and I am currently preparing to take the PAA Level 1 certification exam in September '26.

Astrology, to me, is a beautiful and fascinating mechanism for gaining self-understanding and empathy, among other things. I'm not here to read you a verdict; I look at a chart, ask what makes sense about it and what doesn't... then I dig into the "why" with a blithe curiosity.

Most astrology stops at love and career. AstroRot runs it through corners you don't usually see... because the chart is a lens, and it works on far more than your dating life.

Wine

Terroir, timing, and temperament. What the sky says about the glass in your hand.

Music

Charts of albums, artists, and the exact moment a scene caught fire.

Art

Why certain work outlives its maker... read through the natal chart of the piece.

Draft days, debuts, and dynasties. Astrology for people who scream at the TV.
